It’s a great big world out there, and we are happy to help support athletes see more of it! A few weeks ago, the Mt. Ararat High School Track & Field team traveled down to the Loucks Games in White Plains, NY which is one of the largest and longest running high school meets in the US! We were able to help offset the cost of travel for athletes who attended the meet. A few team highlights are below!
Girl’s Freshman/Soph DMR team of Ellie Douglas, Katherine Therriault, Sarah Middleton, and Mia Pierce placed 7th, with almost everyone running personal-best splits.
Emma Berry was the team’s top individual finisher with an 8th place finish in the javelin.
Cassidy Pullen also had a PR in the jav.
Ian Britt got to try the steeplechase(an event Maine athletes generally do not compete in until college), something he has trained for and looked forward to trying for over a year.
The team’s top boy’s finisher was Evan Weytmouth with an 18th place finish in triple jump.
