We recently got to catch up with Nyagoa Bayak, one of the first student-athletes we worked with through our referral program. A Running Passion was able to sponsor several trips for Nyagoa to attend high school track and field nationals. Nyagoa is from Westbrook, ME and recently finished her first year at Louisiana State University. She is majoring in International Relations/Studies and competes as part of the school’s distinguished track and field program. We wanted to see just how her first year of college went!
??? ??? ???? ????? ???? ?? ???????? Although it’s been cut short, it’s been the best year ever. I love my teammates and my coach along with the atmosphere at LSU. I couldn’t ever see myself going anywhere else. I think I chose the best school for me.
???? ?? ???? ?????????? ?? ? ?? ???????-??????? ????? Being a DI athlete is very busy, it’s a lot of time management and organization and knowing what you need to do because every minute counts.
???? ?? ???? ???????? ???? ?? ??? ?????? ????? I love salmon and potatoes, we have an athlete’s dining hall at LSU so they keep it pretty healthy. When we get the chocolate chip cookies too I love those. I have a huge sweet tooth.
???? ?????? ?? ??? ???? ??? ??????? ????????? My advice is work hard, don’t slack during practice. Give it your all because it will pay off. Enjoy athletics and do not take it for granted because you will not always be able to play what you love.
?? ??? ???? ??? ???? ???? ????? ???’? ???? ?? ?????? My goal in high jump is to have a great Fall training so I will be prepared for when competition season comes around. My academic goal is to maintain my GPA and improve.
Keep up the great work Nyagoa! We wish you all of the best and can’t wait to see you check off those goals!
