ARP Race Team
The purpose of the ARP Race team is to create a team environment that supports runners of all abilities within the community towards reaching their running goals. To spread awareness of A Running Passion and its mission, while acting as an annual fundraiser for A Running Passion. Whether you are a seasoned runner, new to running, or just like to run for fun, this team is the team for you!
The Commitment
- Raise $250 each year while being on the team all of which goes towards A Running Passion’s many programs to support youth, running, and education in the Maine community.
- Participate in ARP Race Team Grand Prix as described below to help earn up to $100 off of your fundraising commitment by promoting our organization and volunteering.
- Wear team singlet to races, and team events
Member Benefits
- Have a team atmosphere to share training and racing, as well as goals with
- First year members get a New Balance team singlet, water bottle, and track bag
- First year and returning members will receive a runner’s gift bag filled with personal and nutrition items to get you started on the right foot, courtesy of Fleet Feet.
- Members who have been on the team more than a year get a new team item each year
- 20% off apparel in annual ARP apparel store
- $10 off registration for our Will to Run Challenge and for our annual cruise tickets (participants may also use their own registration for these events toward fundraising)
- Percentage discounts off of additional events with partner organizations
- Discounted coaching services through Find Your Fire Running
Grand Prix
The Grand Prix allows members to decrease yearly fundraising goals by earning points. 10 points earned equals $100 off your yearly fundraising goal. Points are awarded as follows:
- 1 Point: run race in ARP singlet
- 1 Point: podium finish in ARP singlet
- 1 Point: attend ARP Race Team meeting
- 1 Point: Participate in an ARP event (Irish Eyes, Cruise, Will to Run Challenge, etc.)
- ½ Point: tag ARP in social media post
- 1 Point: join race team committee
- 1 Point: join other ARP committee
- 1 Point: volunteer at an ARP event
- 1 Point: order items from ARP online store
